It appears not. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. MS can cause a variety of symptoms, including changes in sensation, visual problems, muscle weakness, depression, and difficulties with coordination and speech. I would speak to your doctor about possible causes.

Unfortunately, by the nature in which it affects the central nervous system, MS can present in any way it wants. Its most common presentation involves blurry vision and sensory changes, but a variety of pain syndromes can be present as well. Recent study found up to 43% of patients with MS have some form of pain. Hip pain was not specifically mentioned in the study, but back pain was and one can certainly imagine MS causing hip pain as well. The important thing, though, would be to absolutely make sure that there is nothing wrong with the hip (fracture, infection, etc). Your doctor could help you with that.
