Pain in hips during third trimester?i am 32 weeks pregnant with my first.
i just woke up from a nap, and when i got up to get a drink from the kitchen, i almost fell.
i had this pain on both sides of my hips where the legs connect. i had to put my had on the wall and take baby steps so i wouldnt fall down. i made it to the living room where i sat on the couch for a couple minutes. and when i got up again, the pain was gone. i was totally fine.
what in the world happened?? was that my joints just starting to loosen up? or was it something else? this is the first time i experienced anything like this.

Well, im 34 weeks pregnant and my joints have been loosening for a fw weeks, and i usually need to hold myself up when the pain comes, so that is probably what it is. at fist it is unbearable..but it gets better...
Due Sept 9th - It's a boy :)
I am 33 weeks tomorrow and I have the same problem... My hips ache when i lay on them and sometimes when i walk i nealry fall over from the shooting pain. Its just all the pressure from the baby. The bub is getting really heavy now and your laying m,ainly on your sides which puts alot of pressure on your hips... It something most women suffer from in the last trimester :(
Go and get a good massage, that helped me alot!!

Increased hormones of pregnancy soften and loosen the connective tissues in your body.In the pelvic area the joints between the bones are becoming more relaxed. It is helping for preparation of childbirth, which may be causing hip pain.

Yeah I have that problem as well. Try sleeping with pillows between your legs. What really helps if the pains get bad is sitting in a pool. If you have a pool nearby, go relax in the corner. It takes the pressure off your hips and joints.
