Teenage runner with hip/lower ab pain?

Teenage runner with hip/lower ab pain?My 15 yo daughter was injured in track practice on March 5. She apparently pulled something. We can't find anything that helps; there has been no improvement. She is in pain, low grade a lot of the time, and sometimes sharp pain. Always hurts after she runs. Advil and Aleve not cutting the pain. I don't know where to turn next. We have tried PT and chiro. She has had a sonogram of ovaries and a CT scan. Both negative. I am desperate to help her.

It could be as simple as abdominal strain. Since a person uses these muscles for every day tasks, healing takes a long time.

Make her an appointment with a sports medicine specialist
(new name now a days for an orthopedic specialist).

lizzie.
sound like she has pulled a muscle in the buttocks / hip to me,
tell her to leave off he running for a while otherwise she will make it worse. also tell her to rest her hip/legs and keep them at the same height as by putting a pillow under her back and legs/feet. to take pressure off and also stop them swelling up.
