Does this sound like a bone infection of the hip?My daughter started having severe pain in her left hip 3 weeks. She recalls there being apsolutely no injury at all. My daughter is 30 years old. When ever she talks, screams/yells, sneezes, coughs,or laughs it causes her even worse pain. She can do a normal step. She has a limp instead. She sits her foot down on the groud, and then immediately picks it back up. Does this sound like a bone infection? (She also has knee cap pain on that same leg if that helps)

Sounds somewhat like bursitis. Bursitis hurts when coughing, sneezing.
It hurts more at night because you're lying down. It's caused by an increase
in activity. Has her activity increased. It's hard to get rid of. She can try
ibuprofen. Some like to ice it, others like warmth on it. It hangs on for
awhile. Rest helps. The Dr. can give her a shot of cortisone if that's
what it is.
There is a band that stretches from the pelvis to the outside of the knee.
I can't recall the name, but it can get inflamed and cause discomfort.
