i always feel like i need to crack my left hip?i have always suffered from mild back pain since i can remember. Doctors say there is nothing wrong. Sometimes it is quite bad and feels like it needs a good crack, sometimes its just sort of achy. About 2 years ago i started getting a funny feeling in my left hip/buttocks. Its like a dull throbbing feeling, around the inside of my left hip where i can feel a tendon or something connected from my leg to my torso, i can also feel it along the bone that runs down the left side of my bum. Its also very tender around the whole of where my leg is connected to my torso all the way around but especially on my inner thigh along that bone. The other really serious thing is the feeling that it always needs to be cracked or stretched out ... sometimes I wish I could go in one of those torture machines that stretch you so my left leg could be stretched out. And this is the ENTIRE hip bone, not just the bit that sticks out but if you google and image of 'hip bone' its that entire massive bone and all the area around it. please help ... the doctor isn't!
hmmm ... now that i think about it, i stand with my weight on my left leg a lot more then the right so i suppose this could have something to do with the pain in my left hip?

Have you tried asking a chiropractor? Because if it feels like it needs to be cracked you may just have a stiff joint. My back used to hurt all the time so I went to the chiropractor and he said one leg was much shorter than the other (more than normal). After getting my back adjusted a few times I felt a lot better. Sometimes you just get too much pressure built up in your joints and they need to be cracked loose. The chiropractor can fix all sorts of problems, not just your back and neck. They can also give you some stretches to do that should help relieve the pain. This may not be the solution to your problem but it's worth a try!

This could very well be an alignment problem. It can be compounded if you tend to stand on one side vs. the other. This is often done by people who are having pb. on one side of the body and they shift weight etc. to the other to get relief. Over time this will casuse pb on the other side. A chiropractor can do some manipulation that could help. However, you have to have repeated sessions that could extend for a long period of time. Another option is to wear a good arch support (semi-rigid) This will push you body into better alignment and keep it there. A good set of rigid arch supports might run you about $ 35.00. There is a great web site, www.360footcare.com, that is interactive. They have a Pedorthist (a foot specialist including diabetic foot care ) who interacts with customers. They have youtube videos and eventually they will offer weekly live broadcasting for customers. The Pedorhist will discuss a particular foot problem and then Customers will ask questions that the Pedorthist will answer on live broadcast and Twitter. You might want to check them out. I know that they are still getting their interactive tools up and running but until then you might send an email with your question. Good luck
