Labral Hip Tear Surgery???My doctor said they will attempt to fix it with laproscopic surgery, but once they are in there they may discover that they will not be able to and then will have to do the full incision surgery. The tear is on the inside of the socket of my left hip, toward the top and the outside. I'm not in constant, excrutiating pain and I'm very hesistant to have the surgery, laproscopic or not. I'm wondering if it will be worth it, what would happen if I don't have the surgery, the recovery, what my limitations will be and for how long, etc. and quite honestly, I'm worried about not being able to be intimate with my husband for a long period of time, too. Please help ease my mind. Thank you.

this is personal advice, not medical advice
have you tried corticosteroid injections & physical therapy? i would certainly start there, before choosing surgery
if you HAVE tried these options, then unless you want the pain to both continue & probably increase, you probably want to try the surgery
fortunately the surgery is relatively simple & is considered safe & effective, and is considered usually a solution to the problem
