right hip pain when running?

right hip pain when running?Well when I run I feel almost like a cramp in my hip, I also have a tiny bit of that above my knee. The pain in my knee makes sense (last week I ran into a bleacher DX, I nailed the part of my leg just above my knee, it hurt, but they said i'll be just fine). I don't know where my hip pains coming from tho, its on my other leg.

I have weird legs (something to do w/ one being longer than the other) and my feet tend to turn inward to each other even tho I try super hard not to let them. When I run I'm told to let my tips of my feet touch the ground first and I do but thats hard w/ the shoes I have they make me land somewhere in the middle of the ground.

10 points!
Oh and btw, I tend to land on my heels when I'm just walking.

Having one leg longer than the other is actually more common than you might think, and it can absolutely lead to biomechanical problems in runners. If this is the case, then I'd suggest seeing a sports medicine doctor and asking about it in conjunction with the hip pain specifically. Then again, runners get hip pain for all kinds of different reasons. The key questions are 1) how bad is it, and 2) does it go away or keep coming back? If it keeps coming back, then you need to see a sports med doctor anyway, because things like that only tend to get worse when you ignore them.

Finally, I'm not sure who told you that the tips of your feet should touch the ground first when you run, but in general, if you're running in traditional running shoes, you should strike the ground more or less with the middle of your foot. (Unless you're a sprinter, in which case you may run on the balls of your feet.) If you're not running in shoes fitted by a professional at a running shop, that's another thing to take care off that could be causing the pain you're having.

Best of luck!
