Sciatica?? severe left thigh pain and numbness from hip to just above knee?I had total rt hip replacement and have to sleep on my left side--can't sleep on back because of sleep apnea. Now I wake up at night with SEVERE BURNING pain and have to get up for it to stop. Very, very bad.

Talk to your doctor about a medication called Lyrica it is designed to help with the nerve pain you are experiencing. There are also different types of medication for nerve pain as well like gapapentin etc. I have found from experience that lyrica is the best one though.
