Severe Hip Pains at night?I am 21 weeks and am having severe hip pains at night. I sleep with a body pillow for support but toss and turn all night. After a few hours laying on one side or the other, my hips start to hurt. Its like all the pressure of my body is hitting one particular place on my hips. Last week I had to get up at 4am and run a hot bath to help. Last night it didn't help at all and this morning, my left hip hurts so bad its painful to walk.
Are any other expectant mothers experiencing this and does anyone have any suggestions on how to help?

I started having that around the same time as you.. For me, it only got worse until my baby was born. It could be round ligament pain, you should research it.

Oh I am So sorry your going through this! I had it to! And found that not many people I knew could relate when they were pregnant. I did a garage sale at 24 weeks and after that my hips were just wrecked. They were so bad I had to have my husband help me roll over in bed at night to change sides I was sleeping on. I would even cry at times. Honestly the only thing that gave me Any slight help was to put a pillow between my legs. It was Horrible! Just try to swap sides your sleeping on alot. Also one thing that helped was a got a comforter and layed it down on my side of the bed then slept on top of it. The extra softness under my body helped a little as well.

I have had that with my two last pregnancies (currently 13w1d) and I found that sleeping on a heating pad ( I keep it on low and cover it with a thick towel so its not quite so hot) helps a ton, b/c I was getting NO sleep!! Also, you can take some tylenol on the nights its really bad, that should help too, you can also try an ice pack as those work better for some people!! I know from experience how miserable this can be so I hope you find what works for you and it gets better!!! Best of luck and congrats!!!
