What are good exercises or stretches to ease hip pain?I have had pain and stiffness in one hip ever since I had my second child (2 years ago). Can anyone suggest any exercises or stretches to ease the pain and possibly strengthen that area?

If your joint was damaged during your pregnancy or while giving birth (this is surprisingly common; ligaments soften during pregnancy, and can be injured more easily) then you'll NEED to get medically assessed.
Without a detailed examination, you'll have no idea whether the exercises or stretches are likely to have a positive effect. Depending on the cause of the pain, ANY stretches or other 'remedial' exercises might cause your condition to deteriorate.
Your GP should be willing to refer you to a physiotherapist for assessment of your joint function and range-of-movement. If you suffered an injury while the joint's stability structures were softened, then the extra wear-and-tear since then (they stiffen back up again after childbirth, when the hormonal environment changes) will very likely lead to the need for an early hip replacement. This will need to be renewed every ten years or so, and your GP's budget will be affected.
Getting a high-quality examination of the joint, and appropriate surgery and/or physiotherapy, might quickly and inexpensively help you to return to full fitness, and spend the rest of your life IMPROVING the joint's function, instead of deteriorating.

You can try out these hip strengthening exercises:

P/S: Don't just think these hip exercises result in sensational looking hips only; in actual fact they really strengthen your hip muscles in the process.....This is killing 2 birds with 1 stone....
And these hip stretches:

With your condition, I suggest you do stretches first until you're really comfortable and flexible in the hip area before venturing into hip strengthening exercises.
