Outside Hip Tattoo Pain Level?

Outside Hip Tattoo Pain Level?I'm thinking about getting a small (1" long 2" wide) tattoo on my hip later on. But on the outside not the inside and maybe 3 inches or so down from the bone. Right where the strap of underwear or a bikini would go. Does anyone have a tattoo there? And can you tell me how bad it hurts?

actually kristen it's lower like below the hip bone on my thigh i guess i should have said more near my butt

well It sounds like you are talking about where I have mine ..sorry if it's not lol

I felt that in the "love handle" area, it was a piece of cake ..

however, on top of the hip bone .. ouch!
mine was much bigger than yours, so if yours doesn't wrap onto your hip bone .. then it will be even easier

some people say the opposite, but I definitely think the areas with some fat were much much easier

It feels like a cat scratch, yes it's not a fun feeling .. but for sure bearable

I have a tattoo in that spot and to be totally honest it hurt a lot but the good part about it was than with in 15 minutes you get use to the pain and its not so bad. Also when the tattoo artist dips for more ink or to clean the spot it doesn't hurt so you get like little breaks. Over all its tolerable pain and you will be left with a great tattoo.
