Severe hip pain when i sit down?Hello, during the last two days, ive noticed a severe pain in my right hip whenever i sit down (and put weight on the underside of it). I don't know what i could have done to it, except that maybe i hurt it at basketball tryouts two days ago (however, i don't remember hitting it). The pain is very sharp, and it is getting to a point when i have to sit half off a chair to keep from being in pain. Besides taking advil, what should i do, and what could this possibly be? thanks.

First you should consult your doctor. It could be SI joints problems.

It definitely could be an SI problem, although it is difficult to injure your super-stable sacroiliac joints. You may have injured your coccyx if not the SI joint, so I'd get to an osteopath or regular doctor to try and diagnose this.
