Bad hip/top of outer thigh pain, limping, weakness? For 3 days I have had a deep pain in what feels like the top of my right thigh/hip bone (on the side). On this picture http://evertsmith.com/img/content/480-hip-anatomy.jpg its kind of around the top of femur on the outside/femoral head.
I cannot walk without severe pain, the leg is weak when I go up the stairs I am using my arms and left leg to drag myself up because of the pain and weakness. I am limping badly when i walk and it is very painful. My sleep is disturbed, and the pain is there sitting or trying to move around.
The pain also radiates down into my knee and even to my calf. It feels like its deep in my hip.
Ibuprofen helps the pain but I still cant walk. I have a history of back pain but there is no pain whatsover in my back right now, though the hip pain also radiates into the buttock muscle.
Any ideas?
Its not a sharp or shooting pain, but a dull deep persistant one. I have been forced to sit around quite a bit this week as I have been home sitting with my son who is ill, so have been very sedentary.
Asking Q
that could easily be sciatica
