Do I have Cancer? There is pain around the swollen lymph node...?
Do I have Cancer? There is pain around the swollen lymph node...?I have had a swollen lymph node on the back of my neck/head on the right for years. It never hurt before, and I don't play around with it. But I have been going to doctors non-stop because of pains in my chest, coughing, and just being very tired. I am only 18, but my aunt had breast cancer... so I suppose it could run in the family. But my concern is not breast cancer, my concern is the lymph node on my neck/head. My skull hurts, and I have never had headaches in the past, even for being in the hospital for being dehydrated and fainting. I mean yeah we all get headaches here and there, but how often is it coincidental that there is pain around a swollen lymph node that is going through my jaw and wraps around the back/top of my head? It hurts when I press on the area of my skull where the pain has radiated to but not when I press on the lymph node itself. It's not a severe pain, but it's definitely noticeable. I have been getting noticibly weaker as the days go by, and I am in a lot of pain right now in my chest and joints throughout my entire body. It's not like the flu, and I don't have a fever, but sometimes I get so hot that I break a sweat just sitting at the computer in a basement of a central air conditioned house. That happens about once a day at least. I also get tics in my face when I talk sometimes and have even been losing basic memories. For instance, I love to count things and things that I do, and one day I started counting at 8, 7, 9 and then I stopped myself and stumbled as to what I was at with counting... I sometimes misspell my name, and it is a monumental task to recall what I did throughout the day and the days previous (I am in DBT so I have to figure out what I did throughout every week).
I used to smoke, never got addicted and just got tired of it so I quit. I also had X-Rays of almost my entire body because I fell off of a horse and was unable to get up. Turned out I had a hip/spine injury and had to be on crutches for a week, but nothing too serious. Would cancer be very noticeable in an X-ray?
I am currently on some anti-psychotics, anti-depressants, vicodin, buspar, artane, an anti-bacterial, and an anti-inflammatory... nothing is really new other than the vicodin for a spine/hip injury. And even though I am tired all the time I can never seem to fall asleep, even with all the meds that got me to sleep and kept me asleep for years.
I know this is a lot of medical history, but I just want to make sure I am pretty specific so there aren't too many questions. And, "No," I was never in any LD classes in school.
