Has anyone experienced light lower abdominal pains during early pregnancy?

Has anyone experienced light lower abdominal pains during early pregnancy?I am 6 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing light abdominal pain (close to my hips). Everyone says its normal, but how long does it usually last?

Growing pains; seriously. Your hips and inner body have to expand.

could last, mildly, through whole pregnancy.

Yes, and it is a common thing. It is usually your uterus stretching to accomodate the growing fetus. Round ligament pains are no fun and unfortunately continue through out pregnancy!

I am also 6 weeks along and experiencing the same thing. I am not sure how long it will last but I keep hearing it is normal. It probably will continue off and on through pregnancy because you body is adjusting and things need to move out of the way as baby grows. If I remember correctly, with my first baby it only really bothered me the first trimester. Congrats!

I've had this with all 7 pregnancies. It is normal. You should feel a little better in a few weeks if it is related to implantation (when the conceived baby actually attaches to your uterus). Sometimes this causes cramps. Or it could be the hormones affecting your muscles and loosening your joints, etc. In that case, it may last the whole pregnancy.

But remember, you're bringing a new person into this world. All the little complaints of pregnancy are worth it in the long run! :-)
