Have any of you experienced a hip acetabular* tear(Labral tear)?I self taught my self Martial arts extensively, about 5-8 hours a day, and know I may have a hip labral tear. I think it's because, since i self taught myself, I started trying to kick using wrong technique, gradually getting better. I remember one time, I started trying to learn how to spinning crescent kick and my hip locked, pissed me off.
Oh, and please don't say that I shouldn't self teach my self.
I am extremely better than your average street fighter and have a extremely good reaction time, being a counter artist and everything. and please guys, no names

check every aspect of flexability head to toe. It band, hipflexer, every leg stretch and every upper body stretch to make sure the is absoulutely no deficiency. test if with the other side of the body to see. this is why daily yoga is good. check your balance in every aspect you can to make sure your stabilizers haven't developed weak habits. change your work out and try some different sports for a bit. hit the weights and add creatine if you don't, something to give your body a boost

Yea i wont comment on ur self training but did u go see a dr? Not getting proper medical attention and compounding an injury is probably the worst thing u could do. Im guessing trying to walk that off didnt work huh?

Yes, I have. It sucks. You should see your Doctor asap. Until then, STOP TRAINING, you'll only compound the problem.
The Doc will examine you to determine exactly what you did and how bad it is. He will recommend treatment or surgery and may refer you to a physical therapist.
Most of these require surgery to correct and then several months of PT. I feel for ya. It really sucks having to go through that pain and rehab.
