Hip pain: Bad burning like pain in my hip?

Bad burning like pain in my hip?My hip is driving me crazy. The best way I can describe it is like a burning pain on the outward facing area of my right hip. I can't sleep on that side because it hurts, and when I put weight on it standing up it feels like burning pain. Anyone know what this could be?

It sounds like a muscle strain. In an extreme case it could be Osteomyelitis, which is a bone infection. The most common area of this occurring would be from the hip to the foot. I have seen this on a few patients. Plus you can add fever and feeling sick to the symptoms. Could also be a million other things. A doctor would be appropriate to diagnose you properly.
