Left abdomen pain during period? This started around 6 months ago but at first I thought it was just gas.
Every time I near the end of my period (5th day) a pain appears in my left abdomen next to my hip bone. It's not really that painful but it's a very nagging kind of sensation and causes me to lose my appetite. It disappears when I curl up and rock myself and there is temporary relief when I knead that area.
I just got scanned and found no cysts. Does anyone know what it might be? It's not exactly a pain and I can't really talk to the doctor about it because I don't really know what exactly feels wrong. Has anyone had the same experiences?
Its disappears when my period ends.
It feels kind of different from normal cramps though. I experience the normal cramps on day 1 and 2 and then after that there these um strange naggy pains.
Hope
Easy cramps

It might just be menstrual cramps. I know that I occasionally get them too either on my left side or right side. When I put something warm over it, or drink something warm, it tends to disappear or at least calm down. I don't think there's anything to worry about. Especially if you've already gone to the doctors about it.

It could be a fibroid love.
I had those same period symptoms once upon a time. The u/s tech discovered one when I was pregnant with my DD. After years of poking, prodding, and PAINFUL periods, it was nice to have a diagnosis.
After she was born, it disappeared and I haven't had pain like it since.
Good luck to you! xo

It's really just cramps. What causes them is the blood moving through the fallopian tubes, creating extra pressure on your abdominal area. That's why sometimes our lower abdomen looks bloated.
I get very bad cramps, that go from my lower left abdomen all the way down to my thigh and knee. It's very painful and sometimes sitting on the toilet (the position, I guess) relieves the pressure a bit. I imagine that the pressure may also interfere with your colon, exerting pressure on it too, causing abdominal pain.
But, there's no pain you can't tell your doctor about. I'm sure you will find a way to explain and he'll try to understand that it's not easily explainable.
