Left side pain in hip?Could this be ovulation I'm due on my period on the 27th of this month and when i press my left side of my belly/hip I get a pain and it also hurt when I urinated this morning. Its just like a dull ache. It came on me this morning when I woke up.

Pain near your hips and a light or dull ache could indicate an ovarian cyst. I was diagnosed with an ovarian cyst after having the symptoms you are describing. The pain is mostly a dull achey feeling, can become sharp and stabbing and isn't always constant. It also radiated down into my upper thighs as well and sometimes made me nauseated. There was also a bloating feeling in my lower abdomen and a weird pressure feeling as well.
My GYN told me I had a cyst on my right ovary (even though the pain was mostly on my left side) and it was about the size of 4 cm. She said we would "wait and see" what happens in 8 weeks. I was sent home with pain meds. Now, 6 weeks later, I am having pain and pressure again on my right and left side. I have two more weeks before my appt.
Good luck! Cysts can be painful and even more painful if they rupture or cause your ovary to twist and be cut off from blood supply.
