Severe pain in left hip through pelvic area?A couple months ago, I started to feel pulling in the muscle right inside my hip on the left side after a soccer game. I originally tried heat therapy, but as the pain got worse, I started going to a chiropractor. He said I might have pulled ligaments in my hip and began STEM treatment. The pain subsided a bit, but was not fully gone and I stopped going to him. Lately the pain has gotten much worse to the point of me being in pain when I walk or even sit up. During physical activity, I use painkillers and a muscle gel, but I can still feel the pain. I don't know what to do about it and was wondering if an MRI could detect whatever it is that is wrong? Would an MRI be helpful in determining the problem or would an injury like this not show up on the scan?
Thanks.

An MRI should be able to pick up on any injuries. As for the chiropractor, go see a real doctor. He shouldn't even have touched you with a recent injury... no good chiropractor will. It does sound like a torn muscle or ligament though, since it's been a few months. Again, see a real doctor! Good luck!

Yes, have the MRI. Hopefully, that will pinpoint the problem and get you on the road to recovery.
Pardon me for asking but is there any chance that you are pregnant? Your pelvic pain is what's making me ask that. If there is any chance, get tested. While it's most likely a joint injury (hip), it's better to know for sure.
