what can i do (exercise) at home to relieve hip/lower back pain?for the past 3-4 weeks i have suffered from sharp pain ( almost like a shock) in my lower back and hip area. It happens when i walk, bend, lay down, and sit. it is worse some days more so than others. It causes weakness in my right leg ( my leg buckles as i walk after sitting) and sometimes if i have to bend over, either slightly or far, it feels like my right buttock muscle is cramping. I am 9 weeks pregnant and hope to get rid of this pain soon by treating it at home. I don't know what it is but i hear certain exercises help.
thank you!

I had the same problem. Take Tylenol! Or, try water aerobics. It is easy on the joints and will help.

i lay down on the floor infront of a wall, put my heels up on the wall ,legs straight, and slowly slide your butt toward the wall, till it u feel it pulling on your hamstrings. then rest for a moment slide a little further.
a very high persentage of lower back pain is from a shortning of the hamstrings.
this really does work ,i got it from a phisio therapist

consult yr doctor. it may have something to do with the pregnancy and the widening of the hip area as you carry.
