Hip tendinitis, anyone else have or have had it?Just wondering if anyone else has this condition and if it was first diagnosed as bursitis? Also what tendons / muscles were involved in your hip tendinitis pain. My first pain started along the outside of my right hip and down to my knee so doctor said trochandic hip bursitis yet after a few months the pain started to involve all areas around the right hip and now is effecting the front area. The pain in my butt cheek gets so bad it crawls up into my back. An lumbar MRI revealed nothing to wrong in the back.

I been in your shoes already... i was in a car accident 5 years ago the docs said i would never walk again... well i am without any help... there are many painful days ...in my hips and knees...therapuetic massage is great.... ice if you can stand it.... heat for 20 minutes .. (fill a sock with minute rice and spray with water put it in your microwave for 2 minutes ) I have Fibromyalgia so i deal alot with this kind of thing. Good luck!!! and the best thing is to keep moving even though it hurts like HELL

"-itis" just means irritation of whatever word went before it - tendons or a bursae. It's basically a garbage diagnosis that means nothing other than something hurts - which you already know.
I have excellent results treating people for all kinds of pelvis, hip and leg pain and radiating pain using normal Chiropractic care (Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson - it really doesn't matter) of the lower spine and pelvis. Once these areas are not being IRRITATED anymore by nerve pain shooting out of the spine, the "irritation" and pain goes away - usually in 8-10 treatments, with maybe some follow up.
Don't let them put you on the treadmill of pain pills that do nothing but mask symptoms, and physical therapy that usually does nothing either.
See a good HMO list Chiropractor - they are usually the best and will discount if you have to pay by yourself.
