I would like a 3rd child but I have to be on pain meds for chronic back and hip problems....?I have hip displasia and bad arthritis in both of my hips as well as bulging discs in my lower back and Scheurerman's disease in my mid back. Because of this I have to be on narcotic pain meds daily. The doctors aren't really any help because they say they can't do anything to help my back pain. I have tried to stop taking the meds but the pain is very bad. I know I don't want to get pregnant while on the meds and don't know what else to do or ask the docs. Has anyone had a similar issue? I just need some advice. Thanks in advance.
I only take the meds when absolutely necessary. I have never been doped up on them. I know that the medication, even a little bit, in my system while pregnant may hurt a growing baby. Im not stupid and if you dont have anything positive to say then dont say anything.
This is all for future planning. I am not pregnant and will not become pregnant until I am free of the need to take them. Issues with bulging discs and Scheurerman's disease is my problem and if u know anything about them then dont post please. I am a fully functioning person who just wants more children and I don't need loose lip from uncaring people

It sounds like you are in no physical condition to have another child. You need to worry about making yourself healthy before bringing someone else into the world. Maybe just relax and be with your family for now and you will see how great your life already is.
