Please HELP: SEVERE left leg pain for months ... ?To clarify I have been to doctors about this. That was 4 months ago. My Dr told me she was 99% sure it was Sciatic Nerve. But she sent me to a sports medicine doctor (wasn't a sports injury, don't do sports!) who didn't examine me at all, didn't ask me anything, but told me it was IT Band Syndrome.
Well, after much research of IT Band Syndrome I can tell you that is not what I have at all. I need to go to the Dr's again tomorrow because I'm in awful condition, but I need help. Does anyone know what this could be?
Its a sharp, constant, throbbing pain that runs from the hip of my left side, down to my knee. It is a little off to the left side of the center of my leg, but it is a DEEP pain. It does feel like nerve damage.
It is not worsened by activity, infact it is so horrible when I lay down that there is not a single position I can lay down in and be comfortable. I experience tremendous sharp pain that leaves me in tears more often than it does not.
Sometimes, the pain is so bad that my leg involuntarily jerks for a few minutes.
Now, I'm hours off from being able to see a Dr and I have to work tomorrow.
I have no idea what this is at all. Does anybody have any knowledge about anything like this?
