So I've been having this weird pain in my left hip area...?

So I've been having this weird pain in my left hip area...?For a few months. Like three or four maybe?

Its right near my hip, the pain. Its whenever I move my leg, like to do a split or something. Sometimes when I bend over it hurts.

Some days it hurts more then others... Theres no visible bruise.

What could it be? When I went to the doctors, I asked her about it and she said it was probably nothing and would go away. Well... it hasn't. Its really annoying. This happened last year, only the pain was in my lower back, sort of near my tailbone area and it would hurt whenever I sat down.

Any suggestions on why my hip's hurting and what to do?

I've tried heat packs, but they only seem to work for an hour or so, then the pain comes back.
