What are the different causes of groin pain?My boyfriend developed pain in the right side of his groin a couple days ago. About two years ago he had the same problem but then he let it go too long and became a hard ball under his skin. He claims the Dr. told him it was torn lymph nodes and he had to have surgery to remove some of them. Now he has a pain again and thinks it might be the same thing but I tried looking online for information on torn lymph nodes and couldn't find anything. I found information on blocked lymph nodes however. Is that the same thing? Does anyone know anything about torn lymph nodes? Also, how likely is it to keep happening? Also, what are other causes of groin pain? Right now there is no hardening under the skin but it is swollen and apparently very painful. Any information at all regarding this would be helpful. We are planning to go to the Dr. or hospital Monday but would just like some more information first if anyone has any. Thank you very much.

Lymph glands can rupture if they swell enough
they dont really tear as they are elastic
the symptoms do sound like a blocked gland however
i would go to the doctro sooner rather than later - the sooner it is drained the better

poss could be epididymitys ( not sure of the speeling but i have have a pain for like 6 months now from excessive ejaculation..i think thats why cause thats when i started to feel it and kept going over a periond of weeks,.i let it goe and then it hurt like in my testicle so i wete to the doc and they (4) gave me docyclen for 10 days 2 a day and it helped but it didnt work so i did it again and long story short im on ciproflaxin( antibiotic) and it feels better but it still has a preasure in the left side pelvic/testicle rgion( 4 diff p/a's),,,, he should go to the clinic and not "man" it out caue if hes telling you about it , it probably is REALLY bothering him telll him , its no big deal , go to the clinic or doctor and let them begein making him feel better...good luck to you and go tommorow ,ok..... it s more important than ANYthing else going on .....!health #1) Good luck,Godbless....
