When stretching for splits, I get a pain in my hip joint. How can i stop it?When stretching for stradle splits I get a pain in my hip joint which stops me carrying on with the stretch. As soon as I stop it goes away. How can I stop it WITHOUT going to a doctor or physiotherapist? Are there any stretches or ways to pop it. It feels like when joints pop but this doesn't? It's stoping me getting anywhere with splits so help would be apppriciated.

Try moving it around like doing leg swings, and just shaking everything out.

Try sitting with your legs spread apart and then slowly leaning your head to the floor. Same type of split but less stress on joint. Some times you may have to work past the pain. As long as it's not real bad.

Maybe your stretching it too much you should just try to relax for a while take it easier

when your doing your splits make sure your toes are up. that's what i do. or do it sitting down and have someone push on your ankles and go as far as you can that way. you might want to try stretching you hips before you do it. just loosen it
