Has anyone else had hip/low back pain like this?

Has anyone else had hip/low back pain like this?I am having a terrible time with my lower back/hip area (above my tailbone, but under my spine). Right now it is so painful I can barely bend, lift or even get off the toilet. But I dont really have any sciatic symptoms...no numbness or anything like that. The pain is sharp, and sometimes I get the impression that something is catching or grinding. I get sort of "stuck" when I try to lift something off the floor, and at times, I have to grab a wall and sort of inch up slowly or the pain is just incredible. Sneezing about sends me through the roof it hurts so badly. Yet it was actually better when I was pregnant!

The really weird thing about this pain is that is sometimes will switch sides! Laying down relieves it to a large extent, but at times it feels like my leg is somehow "out of place".

I would be thankful for anyone who might have something similar they have been diagnosed for, or could share some knowledge of any kind. Thank you.

You need to see your family doctor soon....it doesn't sound emergent, but you also didn't give enough information to help much. What does pregnancy have to do with the pain? Were you recently pregnant? If you are having to grab the wall and inch up it or feel a grinding it might be in your hip joints and not in your lower back. If you have recently been pregnant, it may have to do with your body's reshaping itself after the birth....esp in the pelvis. I still feel that with all you gave, you need to see your doctor and get some xrays or a MRI this next week.

I have suffered from the same thing. But I will be out for days and it now is effecting my other joints and my circulations is now being effected and wakes me in the night I went and had a full back scan and they came up with degenerated disc, they also found I had only 4 vertebra's where normal people have 5. Solution: U can have hormone shots into ur back , I don't recommend to dangerous I think, or surgery..the best thing I found was exercise although in the beginning hurts more, but it does hurt less and the circulation is normal again
