One day when I was out on a run my hip started to bother me a little. It bothered me for a few days and then just kinda wen't away. Theres no real stretch you can do to help your hip, just if it hurts, don't run on it. Hope this helps :)

Alot of runners will experience hip pain esspecially if they havn't been running in a while. It will probably go away in less than a week or two. If it doesnt go away it could be something like a displaced hip from running without stretching.(thats what happened to me)

Your hip pain may be caused because your hip flexors are tight because your quads, hamstrings and/or IT Band are tight. Find a good massage therapist and have them release your piriformis and psoas and work on your leg muscles. You will be amazed at how much better you'll feel

if soemthing hurts - something is wrong
never take pain killers to maks a pain, as you are relieving the sympton not the source
provide more detail about your issue - loction, pain type, runnng distance, runnign style, shoes etc and we may be able to give more help

ME!
After a 7.5k race last year, my hips & legs were hurting! They hurt really bad! I can't barely bend my knees! It lasted for about a week. But that's because I was not using proper shoes. I don't have running shoes at that time, so I have to suffer every year.
But what's weird is last week, we had about 1 - 2 mile running test (we have to take the test every year) and I didn't feel exhausted after the test like I used to be. I didn't feel tired at all during the run! I can still run after the test & I feel more energized than usual(and my time is MUCH MUCH better). Honestly, I don't know why. I wasn't using proper shoes too! And the next day, my hips, legs & heels felt normal! Same thing happened to my twin.
I'm THRILLED!
