Hip pain: Getting a hip MRI after 3 years of hip pain and right leg disfunction. What to ask the doc?

Getting a hip MRI after 3 years of hip pain and right leg disfunction. What to ask the doc? After about three years of having a messed up hip I am finally getting an MRI. I live in the middle of farm country and good doctors are far and few between. What are some questions I might want to ask the doctors?
I have had an MRI on my lower back and a doctor flat out lied about the results. Another doctor and an orthopedic surgeon told me what was really going on. So any advice on this is greatly appreciated.

Will this imaging scan all possible areas of pathology for my symptom? IE: Could any of this result from my lower back?

Is this with or without contrast? Or both?

What should I expect?

When should I expect results?

Can I get a copy of the test results? (Might be helpful later down the road)

Really, the doctor won't know anything until you have had the test and he has the report.

So any questions you ask will have to be of such a nature, try to avoid asking questions about the 'potential' results. Though ask whatever you are curious about.. the doctor is there to answer them, or try his/her best.

Do you mean before or after the MRI? It's great that you are finally getting an MRI done since this is the best diagnostic method to actually tell what is going on. They give you all the instructions before hand about the procedure like leaving your jewelry at home and they do mean ALL of it. If you have ever had a reaction to any injected dye, let them know in case the doc orders contrast to be used. (This is rare) Some people have claustrophobia from the close quarters of the machine and if this is the case your doc can order a mild sedative. It will take a few days before the doc has the result of your test back, and then they will discuss them with you. The best thing to do is just to ask them to explain it to you in plain English if they get carried away with the medical terms. That will bring them back to earth. If they say anything you don't understand, just stop them and tell them. It's always a good idea to take someone else with you so that you have a 'backup set of ears' to hear what the doc says cause it can be a lot to take in some times. (Even for me) When preparing for doctor visits, if you have questions ahead of time always write them down and that way you won't forget them. It is actually better for you and the doc cause it waste less time for both of you. If you still have other question, just call the office back and if the doc's nurse can't answer your questions, they will leave a note for the doc then call you back. They are just ordinary humans.... a little busy sometimes, but still normal.
