Relief of lower back pain and hips in pregnancy?I am having lower back and hip pain that makes it uncomfortable to sit down. I'm 6 months pregnant. Any suggestions?

depends on where the pain is. Try some light stretching. This always worked for me-- lie on the edge of your bed with one hip, leg and foot hanging off the edge. You'll feel a stretch in your hip and lower back. That always worked for me!

I love my beanbag that you heat up in the microwave. I know it doesn't help much when sitting but sleeping with a body pillow at night on my side with one leg over the top of it really helps ease the pressure at the end of the day.
Another option could be to use a tummy sleeve or something to help support the belly which can ease some of the pressure.
I also do a stretch that helps and it's easy to do while sitting. Cross your legs and put the ankle of your leg on top of the opposite knee. Then you just lean forward over the top of your crossed leg. It stretches that whole pelvic region gently and it helps me a lot. There are other exercises and stretches you can do too that will help. Look up pregnancy yoga or pilates as well and ask your doctor :)
I know how aggravating that pain is I have it with this one.

My doctor kept giving me meds which did not work. I took it upon myself to go to the chiropractor and boy did it work. I'm 6months too and I've been having this problem for a month now. If I miss a appt. at the chiropractor, boy can I tell. Try it, I'm sure it will work for you. There are plenty of chiropractors that will see you no matter what insurance you have...medicaid, blue cross blue shield, companion, etc. just call around. Good Luck. Oh and try hot baths before bed with a heating pad for 30 mins before bed. I still do that too.
