Hip pain: is this knee pain normal?

is this knee pain normal?i just got my unilateral hip spica cast off, and my knee(the knee it was covering) wasn't injured, buy know it hurts alot, and i cant walk, is that normal, i had the cast on for about 6 months
i know that i just posted this and thank u for posting back so qick! i'll call me doc 2 morrow and shee wat he says,,

Is it on the outside of the knee? Not under the kneecap?

If so, your iliotibial band may tight. Stretches and bicycling will help. It's likely from inactivity with the cast on. You gotta work out your leg muscles in a low impact or no impact setting. Talk to your physical therapist.
