Hip pain: sharp pain, left side, above hip bone and below rip cage?

sharp pain, left side, above hip bone and below rip cage?I've got this HORRIBLE pulsing pain on the left side of my stomach, it's just above my hip bone, and under my rib cage. I'm 16 so I don't really think it could be anything too serious, but it has waves of pain, and i can't take it anymore. However I've only had it for one morning, starting today, I'm kinda worried.
