Hip/Upper thigh pain....?One week ago I pressed on my right hip bone and it hurt. It felt bruised. One week later(today) it feels as if it had spread because now when I walk it hurts in my upper thigh too. Can it be a groin pull or something else?
PS- 2 Weeks ago I was playing football with my friends...Sports injury?
lizzie.
sounds like you have a pulled muscle , or may be, you play a lot
of sports and overdone it,
the only thing i can suggest is , to put a pillow under the point where the pain is, it will take the pressure off of it.
only take paracetamol for now, until you see your gp,
about it.

could be a sports injury like a pulled muscle but it could also be bursitis. I have it in both my hips and thats what it feels like.

If your athletic and are active you can injure all sorts of things, especially if you don't stretch and warm up properly. It sounds to me like you just have general muscle stiffness. The best thing I have found for dealing with these kinds of ailments is inversion therapy or hanging upside down. Your hips, thighs, butt and especially your abs can get knotted and tight and when they do it feels like your leg are heavy and don't want to work as good as they should. These are also early signs of back problems and sciatica. They best way I have found (and the cheapest) is to do inversion therapy. When inverted all of those muscles that never get to stretch are actually elongated allowing fresh blood and oxygen to get into them and as it does this promotes healing of those muscles. All the knots and tightness in these muscles is stretched away. much like you'd feel after getting a massage. I had back surgery and have had muscles aches and sciatica like you'd never believe and this is literally the only thing that keeps me active and pain free. Once you get a hanging upside down routine stared you will actually begin to lengthen your spine and you will notice an overall improvement in your flexibility and health. It's worked for me going on three years now, as a matter of fact I don't know where I'd be without it. Hope you feel better and I hope this info helps you. Merry Christmas.
