i've got an acute pain on the left near hip bone - feels like bruise - 1 day now. any ideas?i didn't knock my hip but this pain feels exectly like bruising. the muscles around and into my thigh are feeling stiff also.

Could be inflammation in the joint. Look for swelling elsewhere, if it is only the hip, it is something like inflammation of the bursa.

When you say acute, those in medicine mean "very". Can you localize it...ie: a spot? Give a few days, you might have a bruise. If not email me blueskykmann. I wouldn't worry unless it lasts.
