Pain in Hips and knees with disease?I have horrible hip and knee pain all day long. I can't sit in one position for more than 10 minutes or my hip will start feeling like it's breaking. I'm always waking up at night to move around because i'm always in pain. I'm only 19 but I also have Lyme Disease which causes arthritis and nerve damage. I was wondering if it sounds like my Lyme catching up with me or something else. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm not sure I got Lyme when I was younger and just went to our family doctor. I got antibiotics to take and a cream to put on it and didn't start having pain until a couple years later. I was in Volleyball so hitting the floor on my knees killed me and was always getting told to quit being a crybaby.

It does sound like Lyme disease. I complained to my doctor of joint and muscle pain and the Lyme test is one of the first they did.

Sounds like it's the Lyme. Are you seeing an ILADS-affiliated doctor? I also recommend you join one of the on-line Lyme support groups. There are yahoo groups and Facebook groups and others.
