Does my dog have hip dislocation? My 5 year old pit bull mix has been limping. She doesn't appear to be in pain because she still jumps on the furniture, climbs stairs, and runs around, although she doesn't put weight on her hind leg. There's no injury on her foot or leg so I'm wondering if it's her hip, and if it is how much will it cost to fix?

There is no way of knowing without having an xray done first.
It could be a number of things, i would be more concerned that she has ruptured her cruciate ligament, which is the main ligament in her knee. She could have just sprained a muscle or ligament, like people do, and she may just need some rest.
Take her to the vet and the will give her a full examination, and possibly do an xray.
Oh and if your dog is limping, then yes they are in pain. Why else would they be limping?!

Have you been to a vets about this or are you guessing
if not how can you allow your dog to run around on 3 legs knowing there is a problem with the 4th leg

were not vets...so we cant diagnose your dog correctly. you need to take her to be checked out by a vet and find out what the exact problem is...only then can you call around to diff. vets and get estimates of what the cost will be

The dog needs to be seen by a canine orthopedic vet. The vet will do the appropriate x-rays and send them off to the OFA for ratings. After that, they will recommend a course of treatment or do surgery. Surgery, where I live,is around $ 3000.00 per hip, if that's the problem. Could also be the cruciate ligament. The price to repair that, in my area, is around $ 1500.00 per leg.
Anyway, we are not vets, your dog needs to be seen by an orthopedic vet immediately. Your regular vet can refer you to one. Do it now, that's cruel to let your dog run around in pain.
