Does ovuation pain lasts right up until your period is due?I have a regular 26 day cycel. I experience stiffness in my lower abdomen and some mild twinges in my lower back area when I ovulate (every month). It feels like something is stretching and pulling itself across my hip bone area. It is not painfull but it just feels so anoying at times. It starts 12-14 days before my period and it goes all the way up until my period comes. Is it normal to have that kind of ovulation pain everyday for 2 weeks? Or Could I be pregnant but just keep loosing it and is not aware? Should I visit my gyn? Every or most article I read states that ovulation pain lasts for a few hours up to two days. But my case is 12-14 days straight. Help me out plz. I am trying to conceive.

Hi. I was on the pill for 7 years and did not have many period symptoms, but when i came off it 2 months ago, i feel like, body has been invaded!! i have all the things you describe and just feel so heavy and bagged down. sometimes i have days where i just get the odd twinge and cramp, but then i have days where i feel like i have gone 10 round in a boxing ring! when i asked my doctor why this was happening he told me it was just that I was ovulating and that some woman are more sensitive than others. On average i have around 10 days where i have lots of annoying cramps in my tummy, my sides, my back, i have tender boobies, everything! i do think that i will be going back on the pill!!! however every woman is different, and if you are at all concerned you should see your doctor even just for peace of mind for yourself. Good luck.x

you may have endometriosis. It can cause more pain around ovulation and menstruation. However, ovu pain can start before you ovulate and go on during and as well as after you O so, it may just be a normal thing for your body. I would def talk to your OB about the lasting pain. Do you have any other indications of endometriosis like painful periods or anal cramping during ovu or period?
good luck to you sweetie
