Has anyone experienced hip pain caused by a fracture boot?

This is likely normal. You are walking different due to the boot and your injury. Walking out of gate tends to cause pains elsewhere in other joints. If you really are concerned, call your orthopedic doctor.

    The Evenup device was made to compensate for the leg length discrepancy while wearing a fracture boot. Very helpful!
