Hip Pain While Running?About a month ago my left hip had started hurting me, I ignored it at first thinking that I wasn't stretching it out right or something, but it got worse and worse, until at a track meet, when I was running my race towards the last 100 meters I was sprinting and it hurt so much I kinda limped to the finish line. I was in so much pain, that I couldn't walk on it at all, and I went to the doctor who took x rays of my hip and spine to see if there was anything wrong there that could've been affecting it, but the doctor said it looked normal. They recommended me to a chiropractor, who popped my hip and spine and told me that I was really tense a lot more tense then I should be, especially at my age. What the chiropractor did didn't seem to help at all, I think it may have made the problem worse, seeing as my hip hurts a lot more then it did before. The pain is in my joint, and just above it as well, at times it feels like there's an open cut there, and every time I move it reopens the wound, but there's no cut there at all. Any ideas of what is happening?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
P.S. I am a 14 years old just so you know

i've read that running long distances puts one at risk for stress fractures in the hip. these don't always show up on xrays in the early stages. to confirm diagnosis, a bone scan or mri would be needed as it will show bone marrow edema often associated with a fracture. treatment usually starts with stopping running completely for at least a couple of weeks, not weight-bearing on the affected leg if possible. slow resumption of activity which should always be pain-free so stop activity if you feel pain. and have check-up scans to see if it's healing properly.

First of all you cant make our a stress fracture from an X ray report ...if you have to confirm you need to have a CT scan done ..
At this moment you need to follow call as RICE ...Rest ..Ice it every 2 hours for 20 mins...compression and elevation .
I have a feeling that either your running style is not right or you have a wrong shoes
If your running style is not good get a gait analysis done
if you have poronation problem that is flat feet and your are wear a shoes with no arch then you are bound to get this kind of pain ..I suggest your go to a chiropodist and get a insert made for your shoes and Start running only when your have healed well
Start having nutrition like Vitamin and calcium tablets ...normally for this kind of pains Ultra sounds are miracle at the physio therapist
Also dont run till you have complete healed or it will grow only worst

My hip pain wasn't severe enough for me to go to the doctor, but my trainer told me that it came from sleeping on my side (which I do). She told me to either sleep on my back or put something in between my legs to keep the angle at which my hips were pointed more parallel to each other. But like others have stated, it could very well be a stress fracture.
Try to do hip stretching/strengthening drills to counter that pain (something I also did).
