I think maybe my baby has dropped and I am concerned. Advice?I have an OB/GYN appointment Thursday morning. I am currently 36 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my first child. I was hospitalized at 25 weeks for pre-term labor and then again about 3 weeks later, and twice in the past two weeks. Since about 34 weeks, 5 days, I have felt what seems to resemble a bowling ball rocking back and forth between my hips. This pain has increased greatly since then. I feel and look like I have "dropped" but I am not sure. I lost half of my mucus plug at 34 weeks, 4 days and the second half at 34w6d. I have had major trouble sleeping due to pain in both my hips and back and lots of cramping in my legs. Not only have I had trouble sleeping, but I have been "nesting" for almost a month now and I have been having sudden strong boosts of energy for the past week. I've had contractions, but they have been sporadic and range from mild to unbelievably strong. I have been dilated at 1cm for 11 weeks. The baby is still moving but I am concerned that I may be going in to labor soon? What do you think?

Even if you ARE in labor...at 36 weeks and 3 days, your baby should come out just fine. My sisters baby was born at 34 weeks, and she was perfectly healthy.

if I were you I would call my Dr. or just go to the hospital to get checked out, with how far along you are I wouldn't risk waiting.

worry is a big enemy. 36 weeks is a little early, but you should be ok, even if you are in labor. if your water breaks, or you feel more than 4 contractions in an hour get to the hospital, otherwise, wait till your ob appointment and hope for the best. as for the pain, sorry, it is all just part of being pregnant. it does sound like you are in the home stretch though. good luck!
