My Iliac Arch/ Crest? So, last year during soccer season, i broke my growth plate on my iliac crest on the left hip, and i sorta think that now i have done it to my right hip...
The first time, we [soccer team] was in the weight room, and we were doing these 'bounds' i guess the were called... anyways, when we did those, i felt, my hip pop, and then some extreme pain for the rest of that day, and then i little milder pain [only if i moved to fast, or moved my leg wrong] for the next week and a half or two weeks until my mother took me to the doctor.
On friday, we [the soccer team] had just started our warm up, and were running around the two soccer/football practice feilds we have that are right next to each other. when we came to the last turn on the track, i felt this intense pressure and pain in my right hip, and i couldnt perform very well at practice for the rest of the time. i cant run with out 'yelping' and i find it hard to go up stairs, get in the car, or even walk normally. i have to limp...
So what i am wondering is, do you think that its possible that i have done it again? Should i get my mother to take me to the doc right away? She told me that if i am still in as much pain on tuesday, then she will take me then. [Have a game on Monday]

It is possible you have broken the right arch,
and yes, a Dr appointment is rather important.
A strained muscle, tendon or ligament would also be
quite painful. It is likely you have changed
your gait since the first injury. Favoring the
left leg would put added stress on the right leg.
This could have caused an injury, especially
while running laps.
Also, ask why the arch broke the first time.
It is possible you either have low bone calcium
or it is not being processed well enough.
Ask your Dr if you should be taking Calcium Citrate,
Magnesium and Zinc(CMZ) supplements in
addition to your daily multivitamin. Bring your
multivitamin to your Dr visit, in addition to any
other supplements you may take. Females usually
take extra iron, and that is necessary, but creates
a challenge for balancing the other essential
minerals.
Good Luck!
PS: Also, look at the soles of an old pair of
sports shoes. Uneven wear between the left
and right shoe soles would indicate a gait
problem. You may need some exercises to
walk straight, and avoid future injuries.
