Having a sharp pain above front right hip bone?

Having a sharp pain above front right hip bone? For the last couple weeks, I have been developing a pain directly above my right hip bone, in the front. I have waited for it to go away, but if anything it has gotten more intense. I run regularly and play soccer. It feels almost like a sharp running cramp all the time. Does anyone have any ideas of what this could be? Thanks.

i know what you mean i have that happen to me too i play basket ball everyone says to me its just my muscle aching but im not sure.Im sorry this didnt help :( but i would like to know too.

It sounds like it could be gall bladder pain. You should have it checked by a doctor.

Eat no fried or fatty foods, see if that helps. Rich foods make the gall bladder hurt or you are developing gall stones.

The Doctor will probably order a sonogram (painless) to look and see if you have any stones developing.

It also could be your appendix.
