Inner Knee Pain? Runners knee?When I run, I have pain on the inside of my knee. It feels like something is out of place or moving around inside there. I've had it for awhile, but lately it seems to be getting worse. Just wondering what this could be? I plan to make an appointment with my doc. Sometimes I have pain on the top of my knee too. I love running and I've been running for about 4 years but I am ready to give up because it is so hard on the body! I also have problems with my hip, back, shins, you name it.

I have the same problem except I am a gymnast. I just looked it up and i came up with a probability of and injury to the MCL. My only suggestion is to ask about MCL when you see your doctor. I hope I helped in any way.

From experience it sounds like patella femoral syndrome. That is a condition where you either have muscles that are too tight or too loose and the are pulling your knee cap out of place and causing you knee pain. I am not positive but it sounds alot like what I have. Your best bet would be to go see a doctor and if he confirms it you might be in for a round of physiotherapy. All the best. Hope this helps.

ditto what paulie said. i have it in both knees and it sucks the big one. pt did not help, i had surgery on the worst of my knees which helped some, but they both still hurt everyday. hopefully pt will help you if thats what it is.
